EDISTO, S.C. –The Wofford women's golf team finished the fall season at the Edisto Invitational on Tuesday afternoon at the 71-par 5,980-yard Plantation Course of Edisto. Due to inclement weather in the area, the tournament started a day early on Sunday, October 26, and concluded on Tuesday, October 28. The Terriers finished tied for ninth with a score of 920.
The College of Charleston hosted the three-day event with a pool of 14 teams, including Southern Conference members Western Carolina and The Citadel. Wofford finished at 68-over par 920 for the tournament.
The Terriers recorded a 317 to open the first round of the tournament before turning it around to finish off the second round with a strong 300. Wofford continued into round three to card a 303. The College of Charleston secured the top spot, finishing with a score of 871. Charleston's top finisher Molley Hardwick took home first place, as she carded a six-under par 207. The Terriers were tied for the sixth-best par-4 average with a 4.41 and the best par-5 average with a 5.22. The team also concluded the tournament with the sixth-highest number of pars, recording 157.
Delaney Wade was the top finisher for the Terriers as she finished tied for 27
th with a 16-over par 229. Wade started round one with a seven-over 78 but bounced back to cap off round two with a new career-low of 70. Wade concluded the final round with an 81.
Lilli Horn was one stroke behind Wade as she concluded her fall season with a 17-over par 230. Horn opened her first round with a solid 76 before she carded an 80 in the second round. Horn came back for the final round to record a three-over 74 to secure a tie for 32
nd place.
The next Terrier was
Sofia Pedrero, who finished with a 20-over par 233 score. Pedrero began her first round with an 81 before finishing rounds two and three with a five-over 76. Pedrero concluded the tournament in 42
nd place.
Bella Kent was just two strokes behind Pedrero as she carded a 22-over par 235. In her first round, Kent opened with an 82 before she came back to card a 76. Kent finished the final round with a 77 to place tied for 43
rd.
The final Terrier to compete in the tournament was
Anna Ahonen, who finished tied for 48
th with a 24-over par 237. Ahonen started her first round with an 83 before she recorded a 78 to end round two. Ahonen finished the third round with a solid 76 to place with a 237.
The Terriers will return in the spring of 2026 as they head off to the Lake Oconee Invitational on February 20-22 in Greensboro, Georgia.
