NORTHBOROUGH, Mass.
– The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced that three Wofford student-athletes earned spots on the 2023 Academic Honor Roll. Those honored were
Moira Carroll,
Brenna Duley and
Leah Hurley.
The IWLCA honored a total of 949 student-athletes from 96 different institutions on the 2023 IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
Carroll, a senior defense from Wilmington, Delaware, started all 17 games during the season. She picked up ten ground balls and forced a pair of turnovers. For her career, she played in 43 games with 35 ground balls. She majored in biology.
Duley, a senior attack from Forest Hill, Maryland, played in 17 games with 16 starts this season. She scored eleven goals with nine assists for 20 points and also picked up 12 ground balls. She finished her career with 40 points. She was a biology major.
Hurley, a senior midfielder from Roswell, Georgia, played in 17 games this season with 14 starts. She was third on the team with 28 points, third in goals with 22 and set a Wofford school record with 75 draw controls. A biology major, Hurley also holds the Wofford career record for draw controls with 134.
