CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Women's Golf Coaches Association announced the WGCA All-American Scholars for the 2020-21 academic year on Tuesday afternoon, as the Wofford women's golf team landed four Terriers on the WGCA All-American Scholar Team in junior Becca Earl, senior Lina Settelmayer and sophomore Lindsey Hollis and Nicole Amos.  
 
The four Terriers were named among a total of 1,432 women's collegiate golfers that are recognized with the prestigious honor, as the criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics, including a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50.
 
Earl, a native of Essex, England, led the Terriers with a 76.59 stroke average through 17 rounds played, finishing ranked within the Southern Conference's top 20. Earl recorded four top-20 finishes on the year, including a season-best top-10 performance in finishing eighth at the Amelia Island Collegiate. Earl finished tied for 18^th at the Terrier Intercollegiate and Low Country Intercollegiate prior to tying for 22^nd at the SoCon Championships.
 
Settelmayer, a native of Heiligenhaus, Germany, appeared in 15 rounds for the Terriers through the 2020-21 season with a 77.20 stroke average, including round-lows of 74 on two separate occasions. Settelmayer recorded her best finish of the season at 17^th at the Terrier Intercollegiate, while the senior finished as the Terriers' top-finisher in Wofford's last two tournaments, tying for 22^nd at the Georgia State Invitational, while tying for 20^th at the SoCon Championships.
 
Hollis, a native of Signal Mountain, Tenn., recorded a stroke average of 77.55 through 11 rounds played for the 2020-21 season, highlighted by a career-best top-20 finish at the Low Country Intercollegiate. Hollis helped pace the Terriers to a fifth-place finish, out of 16 teams, as the team's top-finisher tied for 12^th. Additionally, Hollis capped the performance with a career round-low of 71 to lead the way for Wofford.   
 
Amos, a native of Kent, England, appeared in 17 rounds with a 77.59 stroke average, highlighted by a career-best top-20 finish at the Terrier Intercollegiate and career-low performance at the Kiawah Spring Invitational. After recording a career round-low 72, Amos went on to lead as the Terriers' top-finisher, tied for 12^th, at the Terrier Intercollegiate. Amos would then help pace the Terriers to a 16^th-place finish, out of 41 teams, at the Kiawah Spring Invitational, tied for 36^th as the team's top-finisher with a three-round career-low of 226 (+10).
 
The Women's Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women's collegiate golf coaches. The WGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition. Today, the WGCA represents over 650 coaches throughout the U.S. and is dedicated to educating, promoting and recognizing both its members and the student-athletes they represent.
