SPARTANBURG, S.C. – With the 2025 Wofford baseball season now in the books, many of the Terriers are continuing to play throughout the summer in various collegiate wood bat summer leagues. Over 30 Terriers, both current and incoming, are participating across 10 different leagues.
The Valley Baseball League features six Terriers, the largest Wofford representation by a single league this year. They are spaced out between three different teams with the Strasburg Express leading the way with three Terriers:
Tanner Hardin,
John Gray, and
Davis Rivers. The Culpepper Cavaliers boast the duo of
Ethan Belk and
Branton Little, and the Charlottesville TomSox sport
Andrew Mannelly.
The next-closest league is the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League (PGBCL), which features five Terriers dispersed among three teams. The Oneonta Outlaws tout the duo of
Kaz Uehara and
Zach Porter.
Mason Weaver will take the mound for the Saugerties Stallions, and incoming freshmen Tommy Kirwan and Michael Giamartino will suit up for the Auburn Doubledays.
The Appalachian League, a part of Major League Baseball and USA Baseball's Prospect Development Pipeline, features
Ben Timblin as a member of the Pulaski River Turtles.
The prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League features
Niko Brini with the Harwich Mariners.
The Cap Ripken Collegiate Baseball League has three Terriers, all on the same team – the Southern Maryland Senators. Returners
Logan Tribble and
Bryce Harder will play for the Senators alongside incoming freshman Jack Euart.
In the Carolinas, the Coastal Plain League will see the battery of
Alec Bouchard and
Lucas Manning stay paired on the Holly Springs Salamanders.
The iconic Northwoods League sports three players, all on the same team.
Cade Collins,
Hunter Herndon, and
Charlie Horne will all play for the Traverse City Pit Spitters.
Several other incoming freshmen will suit up for their initial preparations for collegiate baseball. In the New York Collegiate Baseball League (NYBCL), the trio of Noah Gerrick, Alex Myers, and J.T. Smith will hit the diamond for the Olean Oilers.
Two more newcomers will see action in the Ohio Valley League as Brady Gold and Ace Hansen play for the Henderson Flash.
Another future freshman, Will Norris, will play in the Intercity Baseball League for the Lexington Blue Sox.
James Layman and
Harrison Campi will be training at Cressey Sports Performance in Florida.
Summer league seasons vary by league, but they typically run from May to late July with playoffs concluding in early August.
