Williams is arguably the top offensive lineman to ever play at Wofford. A four-year starter at center (1994-97), Williams earned All-SoCon honors as a senior in the Terriers’ first season of league play.
The Cincinnati, Ohio, native totaled a team-high 168 knockdown blocks in his senior campaign, paving the way for Wofford to place third in the nation in team rushing (292.2 yards per game). He was twice named the Terriers’ Offensive Player of the Week.
Williams was also a two-time Wofford Offensive Player of the Week as a junior, when he recorded a team-best 208 knockdowns. His 217 knockdown blocks as a sophomore rank as the second-best total in school history.
Williams also excelled in the classroom as an Academic All-District selection.
He was a final cut of the Buffalo Bills prior to the 1998 NFL season. He was rated by Mel Kiper as the fourth-best center available in the NFL draft that year.
