Gilmartin hit .364 for the season, which led the team and was tenth in the Southern Conference … He also led the team with 83 hits and 53 RBIs … During his freshman year in 2007, he was named All-Southern Conference second team by the media and named to SoCon All-Tournament Team … He started all 63 games at shortstop for the Terriers and made 21 appearances on the mound … Hit .322 for the season with 86 hits, including twelve doubles and fourteen home runs, along with 50 RBIs … In the Southern Conference Championship game against The Citadel, pitched 2.1 innings with three strikeouts to get the save ...
