Hall of Fame
Smoak was selected a three-time All-American by the Golf Coaches Association of America and an Academic All-American. He received the Accounting Department Academic Award as a senior.
The Spartanburg High School graduate held the Wofford school record for career stroke average at 75.9. He was also a key member of three Terrier golf teams that advanced to the Division II National Championships and earned Top 20 rankings.
Smoak also won the Long Drive Contest at 337 yards prior to the 1992 National Championships hosted by Wofford at the Carolina Country Club in Spartanburg.
He continued his golf career by playing in the Carolinas Section of PGA events as well as the Nike Tour and Teardrop Mini-Tour.
