Tom McIntyre led the team in pitching from 1954-56. In 1954 he had 47 strikeouts and won five games. In 1955, he added 66 strikeouts to win five games. As a senior in 1956, he struck out a school record 129 batters on the way to winning ten games. He holds the school record for career strikeouts with 280 and is third in school history with 22 career victories.
